It all began with a surf trip…

To the Outer Banks off the coast of North Carolina in February of 2017. College friends Jonathan Moore and Jackson Fox wondered if they couldn’t use Jon’s photography talent to score some gas money for the trip. After all, they were both fresh out of school, and they needed the dough.

Fast forward nearly four years, and The Beans and Rice has taken off more than anyone could have imagined. One photographer has grown into a network of brilliant creatives, each with different areas of expertise, and this allows TBAR to produce content in a wide array of formats and styles to meet client needs. We’ve delivered videos, editorials, blog posts, recipes, and, of course, thousands of photographs for over fifty brands in the last four years, and our clientele is always growing.
